Recalling and using division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 tables.

Division facts are division number sentences related to times tables that your child knows. 12 ÷ 2 = 6, 20÷ 10 = 2 are all division facts for the two times table. You already know that at the end of Year 2 your child needs to know x2, x5, x10 tables. Now, using this knowledge they are expected to use division. The trick is to recall them quite often so they will stay in your child’s head. Start with concrete manipulatives to build pictures of division.
